Introducing the RimRisers – Snare Drum Rim Extensions which is a Cross Stick Performance Enhancer.

Rim Risers provide increased height, giving better grip on the stick and greater player comfort. A huge impact on cross-stick or rim shot playing styles, without interfering with standard stick snare drum playing styles.
They come with a full fitting kit and instructions. RimRisers can be quickly fitted or removed and require no permanent modifications to the snare drum.
The RimRisers are available from playrecord.net in both the Black and Chrome finish.
Click here to view a video of Donnie Marple checking out the RimRiser.
Cheers….

We are please to announce that we have introduced the Bigdog drum stuff range to our catalogue.
Products include bass drum pedals, standard and pro versions both with a single or double pedal. Also a large variety of stands including cymbal, snare and hi-hat stands all available in their top end heavy duty range down to the lightweight range.

Also now available are the Bigdog drum thrones, again, from the budget up to the luxury versions.
One of our favourite Bigdog products is the Bigdog Bass Drum Double Pedal (PRO).
This, in our opinion, is up there with the likes of the Iron Cobra double bass drum pedal and it features the cool unique Bigdog blue finish footplate. Besides the cool look and great quality, the Bigdog Bass Drum Double Pedal (PRO) is also very affordable in comparison to the likes of the Iron Cobra.

All the Bigdog hardware is now available to buy from playrecord.net, many of which with a special introductory price for a short period of time which can be viewed in the special offers section of our website.
All the accessories will be available in the upcoming weeks so keep coming back to see the new lines being added to our catalogue. To view all our Bigdog range please click here
Cheers…

Zildjian, you don’t need to be a drummer to have heard this name….no doubt you’re nodding your head thinking, yes I’ve heard of them….
Well that’s no surprise. Let me tell you why…..
Back in Constantinople in the 17th century, Avedis Zildjian was an alchemist who’s attempts to make Gold by combining base metals in turn led him to create an alloy of tin, copper and traces of silver that had unique sound qualities. It was at this point that things had changed in the world of cymbals.
Avedis went on to make cymbals of extreme clarity, tone and power. It was for this that he gained his reputation and was given the name ‘Zildjian’, Armenian for ‘son of cymbal maker’.
Four centuries on, and Zildjian are still going strong. In fact, the Zildjian company is known as the longest running family-owned business in America.
As well as bringing us remarkable sounding cymbals, Zildjian also brought us the standard drum kit cymbals that we all take for granted. For example, the hi-hat, ride cymbal, splash cymbal, sizzle and crash cymbal were all named and invented by the main man himself, Avedis Zildjian.
Now in 2008, Zildjian have a huge catalogue of cymbals. Available in various sizes, you can choose from ranges like; Z and Z Custom, A Custom, K and K Custom and of course the Avedis series.
Throughout the different musical genre’s you will see drummers using the appropriate Zildjian cymbals for their style and sound. For instance, you may notice most heavy metal drummers using the ‘Z’ range, known for taking a good old beating the Z range is heavy and designed with the heavy hitter in mind.
Get yourself to your local hip-happening Jazz joint and i can bet you’ll see the back-bone of the band tinkling away on his Zildjian K series ride cymbal, known for the defined sticking sound and washy overtones, K’s are loved by jazz drummers.
So, now you may have an idea of why you have heard of this brand. I can honestly say that this is one brand with a fully focused vision and with heritage, and with this comes the continuous production of innovating cymbals and customer satisfaction.
