Beatles Guitar Solos Horrific: Sir Cliff Richard
February 4th, 2008 by PlayRecord.Net ManagementSixties pop icon Cliff Richard has recently been quoted in Q magazine slating the guitar soloing performed and recorded by the Beatles. This slightly controversial viewpoint has not been widely appreciated by the music world.
“Some of the guitar is so out of tune it’s unbelievable. I couldn’t believe that here they were in this hi-tech age and they couldn’t go back and do it with a tuned guitar.”
However its the beatles and not Sir Cliff who have been chosen by NASA to mark their 50th Anniversary. To celebrate they are going to beam the Beatles tune ‘Across The Universe’ out at the North Star.
As the North Star is 431 light years away, we will not be able to get the response of anyone out there who might chance to tune in for another 862+ years. However despite Sir Cliff’s claim that “I’ve sold more singles than…everybody”, we think that the Beatles may be a better choice than old favourites such as ‘Summer Holiday’.

Okay, the Shadow’s may have been technically and musically superior to the Beetles but Rock and Roll is not an exact science.
In tune, out of tune it doesn’t matter if the songs grab you.

No way the shadows were superior technically,musically or otherwise.
A good a beginner will find shadows songs easy to get to grips with.
As for writing,Look at the structure of some of the beatles songs and compare them with the shadows.musically superior?

Cliff like all Christians has never got over John Lennon’s quote that The Beatles were bigger than Jesus, What Lennon explained afterwards was that he meant at the hype of Beatle-mania The Beatles were more talked about than Jesus. So much for Christian forgiveness Cliff !.. Get over it you sad old Queen.

How do you know he is gay Mr. Erroch? Cliff has said he isn’t gay. And as he is supposed to be a Christian and they are supposed to not lie and tell the truth so I am going to take his word for it. Innocent until proven guilty. No proof so far!
